With a small team, I created a miniature battle bot for a competition at my high school. We had to create a robot with movement controlled completely by a single motor. We decided to create a robot with two wheels and a rack and pinion mechanism to push other robots. One wheel is oblong to allow the robot to easily turn in a circle and stay within the game's boundaries. The pinion gear is half sided so our pusher can move forwards and backwards. With our robust and simple design, my team won the competition!
