Summary of Work
I worked as an undergraduate researcher in MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). I worked on the development and iteration of an open source bipedal robot; we aimed to create an accessible and relatively low cost robot to expand research capabilities in the field.
Research Responsibilities
My responsibilities primarily included mechanical design of the robot. I used Fusion360 to design parts for manufacturing; many of these parts were 3D printed. I also tested and iterated various components to ensure the parts were strong enough to withstand the forces imparted by the robot. I also documented the project to demonstrate our progress and to illustrate justifications for various changes.
